Move along to Resen and visit the St. Naum Monastery. Situated along Lake Orhid, the monastery is considered as one of the most popular destinations in North Macedonia.
Drive to Ohrid for overnight.

Morning scenic drive from Lake Ohrid to Mavrovo NP to visit Bigorsky Monastery. This revered 1020 Byzantine monastery dedicated to St. John the Baptist, is located high in the Sar Mountains.
Continue on to Tetovo for a visit to the Painted Mosque in Arabati Baba Tekke. Like something out of the Arabian tales and quite unique to the Balkans, it was first built in the 15th century.
Overnight in Tetovo.
Excursion to the dramatic Matka Gorge with a boat trip (if the weather permits). Cruise by small boat between the vertical rocks. Pass ancient houses, temples, and medieval monasteries.
Overnight Skopje.
