Itinerary

Day 1London Arrival

Upon your arrival in London, you will be transferred to your hotel for check in.

Day 2London - Harrogate

After breakfast, transfer to Harrogate.

Upon arrival, have a tour exploring this beautiful town. Begins amongst floral displays in the Valley Gardens, winding through botanical gardens alongside the River Nidd. Next, stroll the large green space of The Stray in the town center, browsing shops on Montpellier Street along the way. Fuel up with coffee and treats at a traditional tearoom before touring the Turkish Baths museum to learn of Harrogate’s spa history. 

Day 3Harrogate - Edinburgh

Today marks your departure from England and head to Scotland. Transfer to Edinburgh and have a city tour.

Begin your tour at Edinburgh Castle, taking in iconic views of the city from the grounds. Next, wander through historic Holyrood Park featuring Arthur’s Seat, the oldest extant building in Edinburgh, Holyrood Palace. Browse shops along the Royal Mile before stopping to sample haggis or neeps at a pub. Spend some time soaking up the atmosphere in Old Town, with its narrow alleyways and architecture. Be sure to explore photos from underground vaults at Camera Obscura & World of Illusions. Cap off your half-day visiting St. Giles’ Cathedral, seeing its grand interior. 

Day 4Edinburgh - Windermere

Today, you will say goodbye to Edinburgh as you head to Windermere. Check out the beautiful lake town by the largest natural lake in England. Walk the trails at lakeside parks before wandering quaint town streets lined with shops. Spend some time exploring the postcard-pretty village of Ambleside, perusing craft workshops and pausing for refreshments with stunning lake views.

Day 5Windermere - Manchester

Your journey today starts with a transfer from to Manchester. 

Upon arrival, have a tour of Manchester. Start with Piccadilly Gardens, the lively central square. Stroll along Deansgate lined with stores before seeing Manchester Cathedral and stopping in Market Street’s indoor food hall. Next, visit the Manchester Art Gallery and admire its architecture. Then it’s just a short walk to Manchester Town Hall and the National Football Museum. Finish at the Imperial War Museum North, a striking modern landmark.

Day 6Manchester - Oxford

After breakfast, depart Manchester and head to Oxford.

Upon arrival, visit the city center via Oxford’s scenic Water Eaton Road. Wander through Oxford’s medieval streets lined with ancient colleges. Also visit the ornate facades of Balliol and Trinity Colleges before visiting the Bodleian Library, where films like Harry Potter were shot. After time to browse the sheltered stalls in Covered Market, you’ll end your tour in the footsteps of Oxford scholars past at the Sheldonian Theatre. 

Day 7Oxford - Windsor - London

Before heading back to London today, you will have a stop at Windsor for a brief tour. Start at Windsor Castle. Next, walk through Windsor Great Park. Further exploration can include Eton, Windsor’s historic neighbor located across the River Thames, with its famous private school. The medieval pedestrianized winding streets of Windsor town center are perfect for boutique shopping and stopping at a café overlooking the river. Finish down by the historic bridges crossing to Eton before taking a guided tour of St. George’s Chapel.

Later, continue your journey to London.

Day 8London

Today, you will have a full-day tour in London. Start your day at Borough Market. Try some local pastries, fresh fruits, and artisanal coffee. Next, head to the Tower of London to explore its rich history. Walk across the iconic Tower Bridge and visit its exhibition for stunning views of the city and the River Thames. Afterwards, make your way to the British Museum for its extensive collection of artifacts.

In the afternoon, head to Trafalgar Square, taking in the architecture and scenes around the lions. Also visit Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and Houses of Parliament. Then, stroll through St. James’s Park towards Buckingham Palace. Enjoy the peaceful gardens and watch the ceremonial Changing of the Guard if the timing is right.

Later, walk along the Southbank of the Thames towards the London Eye. You may take in the panoramic views from the observation deck of The Shard. 

Day 9London Departure

Check out from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your on going flight.
