Shizuoka City Tokaido Hiroshige Museum of Art / Ukiyoe Exhibitions and Experience creating woodblock prints
This is the first museum in Japan named after Hiroshige Utagawa, a very famous Ukiyo-e artist of the Edo period. At the Ukiyo-e polychrome printmaking experience, visitors can experience how colorful prints are created by applying one color at a time.
Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre, Shizuoka This center is designed to ensure the protection, conservation, presentation and transmission to future generations of world heritage.
Mt. Fuji was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in June 2013 as “Fujisan, sacred place and source of artistic inspiration”. This center offers visitors a great opportunity to get to know Mt. Fuji better.
Fujisan Hongu Sengentaisha Shrine
Fujisan Hongu Sengentaisha Shrine is the main shrine of the Sengen Shrines, which have about 1,300 shrines throughout Japan, and is a symbol of the faith in Mt. Fuji. It is also known as a ‘dragon hole spot’, filled with the spirit of the earth!!
The Wakutama pond inside the shrine, made of spring water from Mt. Fuji, is another power spot and designated as a special natural treasure.
For lunch, you will visit Omiya Yokocho near Sengen Taisha Shrine, where you can enjoy budget-friendly local delicacies such as Fujinomiya Yakisoba Noodles!
Visiting Fuji Takasago Sake Brewery Takasago Sake Brewery is a historic sake brewery operating since 1830.
After the brewery tour, you will taste the sakes, which have a smooth taste created with the infiltrated water of Mt. Fuji.
This tour starts from Shin-Fuji Station, but you can add the Roundtrip Shinkansen ticket from Nagoya. If you want it, please add the extra option when you book the tour. If you are JR Pass holder. you can get to Shin-Fuji in only 1 or 1.5 hour from the big cities Tokyo and Nagoya.
