Get Ready for the Thrill: Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2023

Formula One Singapore

Singapore Grand Prix , Singapore Grand Prix tickets , Singapore Grand Prix schedule

It’s almost that time of the year, for the most anticipated event in Singapore—the Formula
One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix. Just six more months until we get to see a clash of
titans on the greatest night track—Marina Bay Street Circuit. Last year, we saw Sergio Pérez and Red
Bull Racing take home the first-place trophy beating out Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr.
What storylines will unfold between the in this year’s Singapore Grand Prix?

As the Formula One’s only night race, the Singapore GP has been a double-edged sword for
drivers, their teams, and fans alike. With temperatures upwards of 40 degrees Celsius, compounded
to around 60 Celsius when wearing a fireproof suit—drivers lose up to 5kg. The fans will be drenched
as well, momentarily relief comes and goes as fast as a brisk breeze. BUT… what a thriller the
Singapore Grand Prix is each year.

This year, there’s a major change to the track, removing turns 16 to 19, could shave over 20
seconds off laps. It has now become a 400-meter long straight that leads to the final section of the
lap. Great to sweep a bit of spicy controversy under construction tarps. For those uninformed:
Avid fans will recall Crashgate in 2008 where Renault’s Nelson Piquet Jr. deliberately crashed
into a wall at the 17 th turn on the 14 th lap, allowing his teammate Fernando Alonso to make an early
pitstop. After Alonso’s final outing for Alpine at the Abu Dhabi GP before his move to Aston Martin,
he was replaced by Pierre Gasly. Maybe Alpine will have better chances with their fully fresh…I mean
fully French roster.

Zone 4 Walkabout, you can freely roam around Zone 4 and be closest to the concert
venue—seat-wise, you won’t have an assigned seats but are welcome to use the bleachers in the
zone. Orange Grandstand/Turn 1/Turn 2 passes differ slightly. Turn 1 Grandstand allows a view of
the first turn of the course, but most seats provide an angle of the back of cars. Turn 2 Grandstand
faces the back of the pit and will have full view of the first three turns of the course. The Orange
Grandstand is a special one, tucked between turns 11 and 12, this ticket gives you access to a Max
Verstappen fan fiesta! The Connaught Grandstand is located at turn 14, this spot is the best to see
overtakes. It is also very close to the concert venue. A great balance of the two forms of
entertainment. The Super Pit Grandstand covers the entire grid and the pit. You’ll be able to see the
starting grid and the first turn, front and centre to all the best action.
